Dear Readers,

The CIB teams in India and Japan were busy through a large part of October up to mid-November preparing for and co-ordinating the Indo-Japan Business Workshop on CSR and the Field visits conducted by the Japanese delegation to a few industries and NGOs in Mumbai and Pune. We shall have a report of this prepared for you in our next Newsletter which will cover other activities that took place in November 2014.

This issue updates you on two events that took place in October, namely the Mumbai Chapter Meeting and the CIB India Working Group meeting. While the Mumbai Chapter meeting primarily discussed how it should go about so that it could continue in a sustainable, interesting and relevant manner, the Working Group of the CIB India team looked at dotting the “i’s” and crossing the “t’s” more particularly to the Indo-Japan Field Visits and Business Workshop.

An event, different from meetings that CIB is normally used to holding, took place at the Japanese Garden at Asia Plateau, Panchgani when the Japanese visited India in November. We have included this to give you a glimpse of some of those moments.
