Caux Initiatives for Business has been quietly looking at making strong its work in various places. From conducting meetings on a sustained basis at City Chapters to steering business leaders to deliberate at Round Table meetings, CIB has been striving to encourage as many as possible in their journey in business.

This issue of CIB on Wings carries two reports, one each from the Mumbai and Bangalore City Chapters. A common thread in both metros was that of spreading the philosophy of CIB to many business related establishments, be it educational or industrial.

South Korea had its first RT meeting in Seoul where around 40 persons participated. Despite the several challenges faced, it was encouraging to see how business leaders could share their stories from their heart.

A peek into the discussions and planning when a small team met in Mumbai at the CIB India Working Group is another brief update in this issue.

To round off, a heads-up on a RT planned in Malaysia at the end of this month and feedback from our last CIB quarterly, CIB eSPIRIT have been included to keep you included in the happenings at CIB.

WHO WE ARE

Initiatives of Change for Business is an international fellowship for businesspersons — a comradeship of like-minded individuals who are committed to furthering ethical practices in their work and convincing an increasing number of their business colleagues that “one can be ethical in one’s business dealings and still be competitive”.  

WHAT WE DO

Initiatives of Change for Business (ICB) is a forum for its members to discuss the business environment, in its various aspects and help find solutions to the problems that they face or may face in maintaining high ethical standards in their dealings.

FOCUS AREA

Engage business people and decision makers in honest conversations and action on the issues associated with globalization and the human face of economics

Highlight the role that each individual can play in bringing positive changes in business and economic life, and sharing related experience;

Equip people with practical tools, grounded in a moral and ethical framework, for use in their places of work.
