Please also find attached to this e-Newsletter, a list of proposed attendees for CIB 2013, as of date. Do let us know if we have missed your name so far. An International Heart of Effective Leadership (HEL) program for senior leaders in India and overseas is also being organized from Nov. 12 to 14, 2013, soon after CIB 2013. A brief description is made in this issue. However, should you need more information, we are happy to send you an e-flier that will help you understand this program better. Like we mentioned in our first issue, this monthly CIB e-newsletter gives us another platform, apart from the biennial CIB conference in Panchgani, to
share and discuss issues, questions and concerns. May we urge you to make this forum as interactive as possible so that everyone reading it is benefited.

Letters to the Editor
Finding Congruity Between Life’s and Business Purpose
I think the Round Tables in various cities have set the stage for a deeper deliberaton at the Caux Summit in Nov. ‘13.The profound insights of the participants show that though ethics in business is a complex issue, leadership in various businesses would like to make a big shift and commit themselves towards more ethical ways of doing business. That’s the hope, which will further get reinforced in the Nov. Summit – one of finding larger congruity between one life’s purpose and business purpose.

A Small Story to Share
We have a supplier who supplies to our facility from 1994 when it was “Kalyani Brakes Ltd”. Bosch took over this company in 2006 and slowly global Bosch standards were implemented. In line with global requirements the said supplier was marked out for elimination. In one of the meeting, I put forward the thought that the supplier has been very loyal, complaint and depends mostly on us. This decision will not just affect him but also the 100-odd people who work in his organization. The members showed empathy and we devised an alternative way to keep his business intact. This shows that even in the atmosphere of “Profits &
Growth”, the heart can still rule.

June e-Newsletter made Interesting Reading
Thank you for the CIB updates newsletter you recently circulated. It was with great interest I read of Mr.Gomes and Mr.Mittag’s visit to South Korea. After attending the round tables in Mumbai and Pune and learning more about the various other
round tables in other parts of the country I am really looking forward to the November conference in Panchgani.
