‘Is profit enough of a measure? If one achieves the bottom line, should everything else be pardoned?’

Posing these queries to leaders from small and medium enterprises, the Co-Chair, Shishir Joshipura, kick-started the first Round Table of the April 2019 Conclave; prompting all present to deliberate on the topic, Leading Organizational Transformation – Putting sustainability and inclusive growth on top of the agenda. What ensued was a flurry of thoughts and sharing. These we have covered in the report that makes up this Newsletter.

WHO WE ARE

Initiatives of Change for Business is an international fellowship for businesspersons — a comradeship of like-minded individuals who are committed to furthering ethical practices in their work and convincing an increasing number of their business colleagues that “one can be ethical in one’s business dealings and still be competitive”.  

WHAT WE DO

Initiatives of Change for Business (ICB) is a forum for its members to discuss the business environment, in its various aspects and help find solutions to the problems that they face or may face in maintaining high ethical standards in their dealings.

FOCUS AREA

Engage business people and decision makers in honest conversations and action on the issues associated with globalization and the human face of economics

Highlight the role that each individual can play in bringing positive changes in business and economic life, and sharing related experience;

Equip people with practical tools, grounded in a moral and ethical framework, for use in their places of work.
