We are happy to carry in this issue of CIB on Wings a brief report of the meeting that the CIB Mumbai Chapter had last month under the new leadership of S. Venkatesh from Siemens Ltd. who took over as Convenor of the Chapter recently. Their discussions and plans should interest you.

A flavour of some of the deliberations that took place at the Working Group meeting when the CIB India team met is another update that you may appreciate. It would give you a glimpse of some of the planning that is going on behind the scenes in CIB.

The hectic meeting at Caux, Switzerland that CIB had and a brief report of Sarosh Ghandy’s visit to Germany to assist Folker Mittag in his attempts at strengthening the CIB Chapter there would also make for interesting reading.

WHO WE ARE

Initiatives of Change for Business is an international fellowship for businesspersons — a comradeship of like-minded individuals who are committed to furthering ethical practices in their work and convincing an increasing number of their business colleagues that “one can be ethical in one’s business dealings and still be competitive”.  

WHAT WE DO

Initiatives of Change for Business (ICB) is a forum for its members to discuss the business environment, in its various aspects and help find solutions to the problems that they face or may face in maintaining high ethical standards in their dealings.

FOCUS AREA

Engage business people and decision makers in honest conversations and action on the issues associated with globalization and the human face of economics

Highlight the role that each individual can play in bringing positive changes in business and economic life, and sharing related experience;

Equip people with practical tools, grounded in a moral and ethical framework, for use in their places of work.
