Caux Initiatives for Business is pleased to carry in this month’s updates a speech that the Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh and former Member, Planning Commission, Government of India gave
at the Inaugural address in the Biennial International Conference that CIB conducted in January 2016.

Rolling mountain slopes and blue skies that surrounded beautiful Asia Plateau, ensconced in the Western Ghats of India, provided the backdrop for several people from business and industry to gather together to not only listen to Mr. Arun Maira deliver the opening address to the conference but also interact with and discuss ways that business could continue to be an engine for sustainable growth.

WHO WE ARE

Initiatives of Change for Business is an international fellowship for businesspersons — a comradeship of like-minded individuals who are committed to furthering ethical practices in their work and convincing an increasing number of their business colleagues that “one can be ethical in one’s business dealings and still be competitive”.  

WHAT WE DO

Initiatives of Change for Business (ICB) is a forum for its members to discuss the business environment, in its various aspects and help find solutions to the problems that they face or may face in maintaining high ethical standards in their dealings.

FOCUS AREA

Engage business people and decision makers in honest conversations and action on the issues associated with globalization and the human face of economics

Highlight the role that each individual can play in bringing positive changes in business and economic life, and sharing related experience;

Equip people with practical tools, grounded in a moral and ethical framework, for use in their places of work.
