In this month’s issue we wanted to carry a very profound writing by Frederick Laloux, the author of the book, “Re-inventing Organizations”.  The outcome of his approach is so close to what CIB has been advocating in its encouragement to CEOs in their quest for a sustainable business. We feel confident that you too would feel encouraged to draw lessons from him as he brings out examples of organizations that have made a difference.

The CIB India Working Group had met in Mumbai last month. This was its first meeting following the successful CEO Conclave and Biennial International Conference it had conducted in February this year. A brief report will update you on some of the work this “Working Group” did.

WHO WE ARE

Initiatives of Change for Business is an international fellowship for businesspersons — a comradeship of like-minded individuals who are committed to furthering ethical practices in their work and convincing an increasing number of their business colleagues that “one can be ethical in one’s business dealings and still be competitive”.  

WHAT WE DO

Initiatives of Change for Business (ICB) is a forum for its members to discuss the business environment, in its various aspects and help find solutions to the problems that they face or may face in maintaining high ethical standards in their dealings.

FOCUS AREA

Engage business people and decision makers in honest conversations and action on the issues associated with globalization and the human face of economics

Highlight the role that each individual can play in bringing positive changes in business and economic life, and sharing related experience;

Equip people with practical tools, grounded in a moral and ethical framework, for use in their places of work.
