Caux Initiatives for Business is pleased to bring to you a flavour of the deliberations that went into its Round Table event in Mumbai when a group of heads of business and industry sat down for half-a-day to examine what industry needs to change, if India is to change. Like in the past two Round Tables, this was not just discussion, but a sincere attempt to introspect into the why’s and the what’s before looking at solutions.

Some comments that were shared immediately following the 6th Biennial International Conference is also included in this issue. The Report is nearly ready but thought you may enjoy the trailer.

WHO WE ARE

Initiatives of Change for Business is an international fellowship for businesspersons — a comradeship of like-minded individuals who are committed to furthering ethical practices in their work and convincing an increasing number of their business colleagues that “one can be ethical in one’s business dealings and still be competitive”.  

WHAT WE DO

Initiatives of Change for Business (ICB) is a forum for its members to discuss the business environment, in its various aspects and help find solutions to the problems that they face or may face in maintaining high ethical standards in their dealings.

FOCUS AREA

Engage business people and decision makers in honest conversations and action on the issues associated with globalization and the human face of economics

Highlight the role that each individual can play in bringing positive changes in business and economic life, and sharing related experience;

Equip people with practical tools, grounded in a moral and ethical framework, for use in their places of work.
